Ventucopa, CA - Santa Barbara Pistachio Company is a family-run organic farm founded in 1991 by Gene and Gail Zannon within the hills of the Sierra Madre Range. With a climate mirroring that of pistachios' native climate in Western Asia, the Zannon family was able to perfect their all natural snack. After establishing their first harvest in 1995, Santa Barbara Pistachio Company went on to receive their organic crop certification by CCOF in 2007. Since then, they have been producing the highest quality and best tasting pistachios on the market.
With a passion for healthy ingredients and organic farming, Gene and Gail’s company holds a steadfast belief in selling what they actually grow; By hand sorting and picking daily, they create all natural, healthy, and farm fresh snacks. Unlike many of their existing counterparts that choose to spray on flavors, Santa Barbara Pistachio delicately brines using only wholesome, kosher certified, organic ingredients. And, unlike the commonly manufactured flame roast, these organic pistachios are hot air dried at a low temperature. In doing so, the Zannon family assures each delicious batch actually maintains the nutritional value and the traditional buttery taste in their pistachios.
