Blackberries have a beautiful deep purple color and an earthy, sweet and tart flavor. However, not all berries will taste the same. Depending on their size and position on the plant when picked, each berry can range between very sweet and very tart, creating a wonderful taste medley in every basket. All blackberries are rich in both antioxidants and fiber and burst with a dark wine-colored juice when bitten.

Careful! These sweeties stain! While not as much as beets, blackberry juice will temporarily stain your fingers and lips or teeth. But don't worry... just a little water and it's gone. Rinse blackberries right before you use them. They ripen quickly and are best right off the vine, so we recommend eating them straight away! If you have to store them, place a paper towel loosely wrapped around them and leave them in the fridge (not crisper).
