The Russet potato is an American classic, commonly used to make mashed, fried, or baked potatoes. While they are considered a starchy carb (which converts to energy and it great for a pre-workout), they are also loaded with macronutrients including protein and fiber which are great for digestion! Russets make a tasty addition to an antipasti salad when boiled and tossed with a bit of vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
